Why the name?

A girl who has experienced it all in college, and realizes that the best mates are the one who has power, money, and status.
- Urban Dictionary

Some of you may know who I really am. A person who fell in love with someone who has everything... He may not be as hot as your boyfriend, but he WAS my Christian Grey. I depended on him.
I thought I had it all. I thought I was the lucky one. But then I asked myself, what's in it for me? Am I doing this to improve myself or for physical world matters? It sucks to know that I used to be narcissistic. I need to get up and show the world what I am capable of. That I am not just a Trophy Girlfriend. This is the Trophy Girl Diaries.

Chateau des Versailles

It was King Louis XIV who built this palace.  He wanted to have the greatest Palace on Earth.
And indeed it really is!

The gates are remarkably fabulous!  I can't even imagine how much it costs.

The Magnificent Hall of Mirrors

Perfectly lined up trees on our way to Le Petit Trianon de Marie Antoinette.

The house of Marie Antoinette and her grand staircase

Oh and there is an Angelina Tearoom inside the palace where I got to taste
Madame Coco Chanel's favorite hot drink!
It was really yummy!

As we exit the palace on closing time, we noticed that we were the last few ones inside,

our timing was perfect!  I got to capture the whole palace all by myself this time!

Budapest Day 2

On our 2nd day, we visited the ancient Turkish shrines and monuments of Buda and Pest.  I enjoyed the view of the city from the Fisherman's Bastion.

For a not so cold day, I wore knitted long sleeves and a skirt.  Have I told you that my favorite character is Mickey Mouse?

Below is my picture with Sisi...  She is one of the daughters in law of Queen Teresa of Vienna.  Sisi is one of the favorites of the Viennese people because she introduced gymnastics to the women of Vienna.  She was very feminine and yet, she was very determined to do exerciar.and encouraged the women to be athletic

Budapest

One of the youngest European capital, though it has a history of more than a thousand years.  Budapest is divided bu the Danube River, hence, Buda - water, Pest - oven or nearby hotsprings, (pronounced as pesht).

I've learned a thing or two about their culture, and I'm truly grateful that I came to see this beautiful city.

Wien, or Vienna, is the largest city and capital of Austria.  Besides being known as the City of Music, it is also said to be the City of Dreams because it was home to the world's first psycho-analyst Sigmund Freud.

A New Adventure, Prague

I Have always dreamed of visiting other places, especially outside Asia.  Since I finally graduated from college, I rewarded myself with an adventure which will surely help me gain more knowledge.  This is something I will forever treasure and would love to share this new adventure with you!

It is no joke traveling to Eastern Europe.  I realized that, from the time I left home for the airport in Manila, getting to our final destination, which is our hotel, it took us 24 hours.  I just told myself, this must be worth the while.  But so far, I still can't believe that I am here and I am enjoying every bit of it.

My Latest Kicks!

Don't you sometimes feel like wearing nothing on your feet?  That you just want to throw away your high heeled stilettos and walk barefoot?

That is the reason why these kicks were made!  To walk like you are not wearing anything while protecting your sensitive feet.

I got chosen (lucky me) to be one of the ambassadors during Nao Do Brasil's major launch last March 25 at the Mega Fashion Mall.

Check Nao do Brasil's page here

   And on  it's naodobrasilph

I loved that it is fashionably comfortable so I bought 2 more pairs!  I'm about to take a short vacation and will surely bring my fave kicks on board.  Don't worry, I'll be posting more blogs when I get there!

For the 2000th Visitor

In preparation for the rainy season in June through September,
I thought I'd give you something you might use.

I wear wellies/rainboots whenever I hit the road on gloomy days...  (Sorry for the blurry photo)

For you ladies, my 2000th visitor, I have something for you... (will have something for men soon)

West Loop Rainboots
Size:  38-39 women's

Yes, It's yours for FREE!!!

According to Wise Geek,

Rain boots were originally created less than 200 years ago, in early 19th century England. Arthur Wellesley, the First Duke of Wellington, wore Hessian boots, which were tall, tasseled boots for men, brought to England by the Hessians. The popular duke instructed his favorite shoe maker to modify the boots a bit, removing the fancy trim and making them a bit more form-fitting; the boots became known as Wellingtons or "Wellies" and became the fashion rage among well-to-do English men. In 1853, after learning of the creation of rubber, Hiram Hutchinson introduced the first rubber Wellington boots to farmers in France. The boots were an instant success, saving field workers from coming home each day with wet and muddy feet.

Now all you have to do, is take a screen cap with the numbers 2000 on the visitors counter.  That indicates that you are the 2000th visitor.  However, there may be a lot of you who will be on this slot at a certain time.  So I will have to draw a raffle for the big winner...

Send an email at trophygirlfriend689@gmail.com and attach your screen cap.

Make sure to include the following to validate your entry:

Full name
Age
Cellphone No.
Address

You will be notified through text when your name is drawn.

If you're name isn't picked, don't worry.  I have more prizes to give within the next few days.

Good Luck!!!

- WEAR DENIM-

Let me share it with you....

A little  history of denim and how denim is made.
Denim is a woven fabric commonly made with a blue cotton wrap yarn and a white cotton filling yarn. When it was first designed, denim was primarily used to make work clothes and tough clothing like overalls, but today it is used for everything from purses and skirts to denim jackets and other fashionable clothes. Denim is so popular in the twenty-first century that you can hardly walk into a store without seeing it on racks and displays.
The term "jeans" or jean" is  has become synonymous with "denim" in today's terminology, but the term isn't always interchangeable. Jeans actually originated in Genoa, Italy and were made from fustian (a linen and /or wool blend)instead of denim. Denim was slightly more expensive than jean and was woven from one colored thread and one white thread.
